that being said you need to be in the policy. There are exceptions for new qualified, young or old drivers, - so it depends how you brother inlaw has insured the car. If he says its ok, its ok....

if its his car, then he insures it. Assuming you're under 26 then its highly probable you will enter on your brother in laws insurance.
