Re: English TV in Hungary

If anyone is interested in knowing the teletext page numbers required for watching Hungarian TV, presumably in analogue, with subtitles I can find out what they are. Apparently, different channels...

Re: English TV in Hungary

I have to agree about restricting children's TV viewing time. Sometimes some of it is just not suitable for children of any age. Children shouldn't be forced to grow up before their time.

Some...

Re: English TV in Hungary

Being deaf I'm reliant on subtitles/captions to follow anything on TV. My Hungarian wife has said there's more and more programmes being subtitled (and obviously others dubbed in Hungarian). I used...

Re: English TV in Hungary

I have also wondered what the EU's view was on broadcasters using spot beam signal instead of the wider beam signal from the older...

Re: English TV in Hungary

I don't watch many BBC programmes/films, etc. The TV licence would be even lower if they didn't cover certain events way in excess of what they should.

Re: English TV in Hungary

I don't understand the logic of this "spot beam" broadcasting because I thought the EU believes in free movement of EU residents and it would not want its residents to be denied access to TV from...

Re: English TV in Hungary

Do you watch TV via a SmartTV or TV with internet connection or laptop/pc connected to TV?

I hope a solution is found for using satelite. Seems a bit harsh to block some regions in Europe when...

Re: English TV in Hungary

What I'll probably do is buy a FreeSat recorder with plenty of Gigabytes to store films, programmes, from other channels and watch them during the winter months only. I think in the spring and...

Re: English TV in Hungary

Gee, read what the BBC were planning. I'm very unimpressed because the BBC do not restrict any overspill to the Republic of Ireland! If I lived in Hungary why should I not be allowed to receive...

Re: English TV in Hungary

How much would a 1.8m dish cost in Hungary? I don't live there at moment but is my long term aim. Have looked up costs on UK websites. Gee - £2,500 is that right? Or am I looking for the wrong...

Re: English TV in Hungary

I'm really interested to know more about what can be received via satelite dish. The internet is great if you don't need subtitles (I'm deaf!!) and the only website to show programmes with subtitles...
