That's true...I met a truck driver who got his grandfather born in Italy when the Italian border was extended in Slovenian land. After the war, Italian border was reduced and he got his father born...

Maybe I can help you undestand... Sardo is not a dialect, it is a language with a well-structured grammar and sintax. It is not uncommon at all to find old women that can only speak Sardo, not a word...
