The flooding used to be snow. The warm weather and torrential rain melted it too quickly.

I'm on much higher ground, fortunately. My only real concern is that the sewers might start backing up.

A lot of downtown Gatineau is under water at the moment and it's going to get worse.

In the space of a few days the weather report has changed from quoting wind chill to quoting humidex.

We've had a week of plus temperatures and a mix of bright sunshine and pouring rain. The snow is going fast but you don't get rid of that much snow overnight, particularly when the bottom six inches...
