Must admit I never actually thought they would get in touch with our employer(s)..... having produced original reference letters etc.

My guess is that they have done the "paper review", confirmed...

I guess that's another good thing about selling early - if (and I realise it's a big if) the exchange rate rockets we can transfer some released equity to $s while it's good!

It's my OH who's the college lecturer; I'm just the hanger on ;)

It was a relief to get it sent off, as I know they will want more info from us, so just to get it to the office was an achievement....

Hi Jools

We followed the list on Schedule 3 for the applicant and provided references only for those jobs. It was hard enough to get references for those, let alone everything for the past 30...

That's what I thought.... but then I read the website about not taking in mobile phone, queues outside, no big handbags etc. I'm going to have two kids with me, so sounds like a hassle!

Oh, the guy had a price list showing £6.99 for UK photos and £13.99 for Canadian passport photos! Maybe you got a temp who didn't know the difference! :)

I think they are referring to the payment you have already made when you send the application to Sydney, so just enclose the copy payment form.

Difficulty with employers - why they can't just answer the reference questions is beyond...

The new checklist definitely says "notarized copies" - not sure what the old checklists said, maybe they were different. So... I am going to go with certified copies.

Have asked a lawyer friend...
