We are having a bit of a roller coaster ride with schooling... After a formal meeting with the Director, it has been 'decided' that my youngest should remain in Year...

Oh snap Lorna, my eldest was moaning this morning he felt ill, I packed him off to school regardless ( I didn't think he was that bad tbh). Got a call just as I got home to go and collect him :(

My DS informed me he needs a new school bag, the one he's got isn't big enough! 2 lists from younger sons for quadernoni covered in various colours etc. This is a learning curve for me:p

All mine away too! Don't know who was more nervous, them or me! Same here re finishing times, will pick up youngest 2 then dash to get oldest!

Went to the second hand book sale at my DS new school today, so thankfully instead of almost €300 it was about half that, just needed to order 6 new books. I know this is reality but I still had to...

OMG that sounds a riot! You'll need a wee lie down after that. Out of curiosity what kind of food do you put on for a kids birthday party, do you do goody bags etc?

I agree, its pretty scary reading some of this thread - but then that is what its about, being able to share experiences, good and bad. I haven't experienced Italian education, yet - I am bracing...

Sorry to hear your twins are not settling into school meph, it puts enormous pressure on a couple when your children are unhappy. I really hope through time it becomes easier.
