Today's lunch consists of a tin of Progresso soup - one of many I picked up when me and the girlfirend last went down to the US. It's really great stuff and I hope it becomes available in Canada...

Re: Lunchtime Choices

IKEA sells pretty good sandwiches which they just recently started doing. They have Egg Salad for $2.50 and a Vegetarian Sandwich on Flatbread for $3.50. I've tried both and they're pretty decent....

Re: Lunchtime Choices

Wow, fancy stuff ;)

My usual "pleb" meal is butter and herb instant mash potato. You can get two packs for about $1.60, so it works out as a quick and very filling lunch for 80c :)

Re: Lunchtime Choices

I went to IKEA for lunch again today, had Garden Veg soup, salad, dinner roll and a weird elderflower drink for $6.

Then I went down to the IKEA bistro and had one of their yummy frozen yogurts :D

Re: Lunchtime Choices

I don't get why the imported food shops don't just go to ASDA or something. The Smart Price Beans were only 29p! And very nice as well.

Re: Lunchtime Choices

Hahaha. I've gotten used to the sugary beans, my tastebuds have adapted. I had the Lidl Baked Beans when I was in Spain one time and those were very sweet too.

Re: Lunchtime Choices

Macaroni and Cheese.

It's very popular in Canada so I'm surprised you haven't heard it called Mac and Cheese before. There's also a popular product known as "Kraft Dinner" which includes the...

Re: Lunchtime Choices

Yesterday my day was made.

They put the Mac and Cheese back into the self-serve section at the IKEA in Richmond, so you can pile up a MASSIVE bowl of the stuff for $1.99 :D

I'm contemplating...

Re: Lunchtime Choices

I had Butter and Herb flavor instant mash, very filling. I usually have quick and easy stuff like that at work since there's only a kettle and microwave. If I'm at home it'll be either a couple of...
