We get these ones sometimes.... the Carrefour ones are the same price here (Heinz) and I can't afford them. A blog I read was complaining about a €1 a can price tag. I was thinking: 'if only'.....

She is such a lovely Mum your mum.... I'll be getting on a plane in a weeks time so I'm waiting for my Mince pie fix..... must admit I actually prefer Shortbread more.

The year before last I saw a box of walkers 6 mince pies for the princely sum of €8.50!!!!! We gave those a miss too...... :ohmy:

I think when you open those little packets you will find a tiny wrap of greaseproof paper with a few strands of real saffron in it. I normally mix these into about 2tbsp of milk and then add to the...

I love Risotto made with proper risotto rice. Probably in the UK I didn't really get it... the other stuff will be like Kedgeree type things won't they?? Also very good though. Must admit I used to...

Really?? I love basmati.... but then I cook indian food to go with rice as a rule so maybe it's more of a complment to those kind of flavours??!!v

Depends... my OH brings back nearly a suitcase full of his fave museli from the UK whenever we go and when that runs low he then eats Weetabix which are fairly cheap. When I go to Esselunga I stock...

I have to say that I use my Credit card everywhere here including local Crai and Di Per Di (now Carrefour Express or something) but Lidl don't won't take it. IKEA only started to fairly recently...

is a connect card a credit card? The lidl near us only seems to like cold hard cash... I like bounties but the plain choc ones... not seen them here but seen normal bounties all over the place.

I've seen lots of electric kettles here and I got my hob one and my teapot from IKEA... I've seen potato ricers there too but my sister sent me a masher!

yes always on tinned fruit! I love tinned peaches but hate those tins of fruit cocktail! I hate evaporated milk with a vengance though and I always have... OH likes evap on his cereal.... :blink:

Now I've not seen that! Not sure I fancy cafe bonbon though! :unsure: I did once have an unhealthy addiction to that sterilised tinned cream that my nan used to buy and stash for 'emergencies'......
