I already passed the polic check for the 457, those internet fake ID's look so genuine, holograms and everything!!

I renewed my UK passport here 2 years ago Paddy, just go my aussie doctor to complete the blurb on the back of the photo. All went smoothly, passport back in a week.

They don't give you visa labels anymore, it's all electronic. He will need to go to aus embassy and have his new passport associated with his old visa.

When did this change? I did my passport last year and just posted it to Canberra and got a new one in 2 weeks. Sounds like they have made the process a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be.

Got my passport renewing just last month without any problems. Got the photos from a photo booth you find in the shopping centres. Most Wesfields have them. I believe there is one in town hall...
