Some houses were only 50-60k ten years ago. Many people in this country posess as much as 5-10 houses. And that's a reason why it can be expensive to buy with limited supply at times.

Yeah but Austalia was too cheap for too long. Hence only reccently many people were still able to make do well in this country which they couldn't now.

Yes true but many migrants are blue collar workers when Australia was a blue collar paradise. That is no longer the situation and this def mkes people think twice about coming here.

Australia in the late nineties geared its economy towards Asia. everyone became rich when the country was poor.

It will never be cheap like it was again.

Australia was too cheap for too long and since then the economy has changed forever. It will never be 3-1 again and Australia will never be cheap to British migrants.

Still a good place for many...

BTW 4 American families have moved into a Street in City Beach where my parents live this year! Why is it that they are aware about the good locations in Perth lol:rofl:

That's one of the worst things I've heard. If I was paying $800 a week to live in Clarkson I would probably kill myself. Clarkson is one of the worst suburbs in Australia.

Yeah exactly. Like I said in another thread If I moved into these areas My friends would disown me. I actually thought moving into Joondalup centro to be close to Uni but my friends discouraged me...

This is ridiculous. No one here cares about material things except bogans. No even cares about the size of your house. They do care and do judge you on your location and this is the issue.

Groceries are the least of anyones concern. Property prices are hte big issue. 300-400k 4 bedroom houses in Austalia are the eqivilant of living in a Slum estate.
