Forecasts show about 6500 properties will be flooded in Brisbane, Lord Mayor Campbell Newman says.

Lot of people sent home now - just in case. Wynnum probably just getting the usual localised flooding just like other parts of Brisbane - nothing overly serious in most parts at the moment I think....

Ipswich looks at risk at the moment.

Most employees from Ipswich left an hour or so ago. Ipswich now cut off in both directions.

Oh I thought you were in Brisbane....still only low level warnings for brisbane currently....at the moment the weather is forecast to ease later in the week so hopefully flash flooding will disappear...

2 sydney harbours (one million megalitres) per day now flooding into the wivenhoe catchment !!!

For those who don't know this is the main Brisbane River (and surrounding creeks) catchment.
