I edited/ expanded post #2 above. ..... No, not really, because you have insufficient income to support a spouse visa. ..... I am not an expert on "treaty rights", ..... especially not as applied...

How you "class yourself" is irrelevant. Are you under UK law, a British citizen? Could you obtain a British passport? If either of your parents are British then you may be a British citizen...

Are you a British (dual) citizen, or solely a citizen of ROI?

To "exercise your treaty rights" you cannot be living in a country of which you are a citizen.
