I just had sausage and eggs, toast and beans and a glass of merlot. In a Montreal cafe one morning a long time ago I saw an old man wearing a beret, eating bacon and eggs and having a glass of wine....

I treated myself to a super kaisendon at Moltan's roll and sake house. In my defence it was the first proper food I'd eaten since last Saturday.

Best burgers ever are from New York, so called tri sate area where they ask you how you want your burger to be cooked. Charcoaled on the outside and are i the middle is sublime. Or from a burger van...

Definitely going to add some pork pie in the mix. Also, I might try and do some various continental element to a ploughman's. That might work.

Not very impressive when I really meant "dappled" plus I'm feeling a bit like I shouldn't have eaten 3/4 of the mega butter chicken pizza I ordered on the way home.

I can do slices of a nice crusty baguette. Anything else? An piece of apple, tomato or if you're a modern ploughman you might be into some rather spicy capers.

A lovely friend of mine gave me some expensive English cheddar, Stilton and a jar of Branston pickle for my birthday, which was last Saturday. I don't usually eat cheese as I think it's just gone off...
