You can. Vancouver has strong links to the Guinness family too. They had to Lions Gate bridge built and developed a lot of the North Shore, the 'British Properties'.

So long as one does not factor in asset appreciation. Someone who bought in Vancouver 25 years ago could be mortgage free now together with a significant asset. Someone who has rented for the last 25...

What is good for one maybe bad for another. My first house, mortgage rates were 18%, was not great for us. I would be thrilled to bits with that rate now.

Its not unless we have an earthquake. When who knows? Probably just after not renewing earthquake insurance!
