Re: Getting through Customs/Immigration faster at US airports - MPC App

I've used MPC a few times and it has saved me time at Dulles. I only had to scan my passport the first time. It keeps the passport details for subsequent entries.

Re: DUI arrest in US for dual citizen entering Canada

Update:

He was admitted to Canada with just his US passport. The DUI issue did not come up. He had his Canadian citizenship cert with him just in case.

I'm from Northern Ireland and my wife is from England. We've been living in Maryland for coming up on 25 years and we've never seen or heard any anti-British sentiment in Maryland or on our travels...

Re: Anyone still feel like an outsider?

I've felt like an outsider for most of my life - almost 40 of my 57 years. I left Northern Ireland aged 18 and haver spent 8 years in England (two separate spells; 6 in Manchester and 2 in London), 7...

Re: Entering the UK with a US passport

I would send birth cert and notarized copy of driving license. I would avoid sending in the UK passport if at all possible.

You can call or email them to double check:...

Re: Entering the UK with a US passport

I have 4 passports (Ireland, UK, Canada and US). I have used all of them to enter the UK at one point or another. Never had an issue.

I'm curious as to why you have to mail your UK passport for an...

Does anyone have recommendations for where to get a pre-flight COVID test in downtown Toronto? This is for a flight to the US so my understanding is that the test can be RT-PCR (expensive; ~$150) or...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Right but they know they are not going to catch everyone - they just want to catch more and stop them from getting on a plane. To be honest, I suspect the testing requirement is also a deterrent to...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Why not? It would make a lot of sense to get flights up and running to/from low risk countries. Why would Canada have to wait for the US to get its act together?

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Doubtful. About 66% of tourists to Canada are from the US (about 13 million out of about 20 million per year). A lot are probably short trips (maybe even day trips) but that's still a lot to make up...
