Default Help, self employed moving to Denmark for 12 months

Hi,

Wonder if anyone has experience with this, as I'm now very confused.

My girlfriend has been offered a job in Copenhagen for a year. I would go with her. However, I'm self employed in the UK and run my business mostly in front of a laptop and on the phone. So it would work out ok for me to live in Copenhagen and continue running my UK business from there with occasional trips back.

It seemed from the HMRC site that I could do that as long as I'm planning on staying less than 24 months, and provided my business continues to run exactly the same way in the UK I could continue to pay UK tax.

Assume I'd still need a residents permit in Denmark? Is it easy to explain there how things are running in the UK?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I'm interested in this. Would you really need a residency permit? Couldn't you just whip over to Sweden every once in a while, and maybe ask the Swedes to stamp your passport?
