..... for anyone feeling a little homesick, this w-end saw the telly addict nation sitting down to a week-end fest of Dad's Army episodes (40 year birthday of the series....).

Can't help wondering if the availability of prime-time for such retro-excess isn't a sad reflection of the current state of Aunty Beeb, but here ya go:

I still love Dad's Army. One of the best comedy series ever made IMO.

.........unlike the embarrassingly unfunny Last Of The Summer Wine, which should have been buried ages ago - with the cast - dead or alive........

Actually like the series, downloaded a truck load of them in the days Limewire Pro was still reasonably good.
