Indeed - it's all the Westerners who go native on the roads here that really piss me off. We've all seen the type; massive 4x4 with "Baby on Board" sticker in the rear window, mother is yammering on her mobile while negotiating roundabouts (without bothering to check if any traffic is coming) while her way to another tiring day's doing bugger-all.

Re: Why do Arabs drive like that?
I actually said to the sales manager where my car is coming from that I don't go in for the seat cover and sticker type car delivery. He laughed and refuses to do it even for the locals.
While we're on driving, what's all this middle lane everywhere and sticking to it on roundabouts. Even when turning left and right. Or the lets make 7 lanes into one at a slip road.......

Re: Why do Arabs drive like that?
twice I've had huge issues with roundabout behaviour... one time the guy just launched from inside across to exit trying to go through me... he was in a Sunny and me in a Wrangler so he did end up avoiding me but only just... tried to drag me out for a fight as I was in the wrong.... in his mind....
can't claim ownership for this one, but a favourite expression to describe some cars and their drivers here...

Re: Why do Arabs drive like that?
I have a theory on this, and before anyone takes it in a particular way, its not intended to be a racist theory, its just my observation here...
Indians/Pakistanis - a number of them (not all) are bad drivers - no awareness of what is going on around them, they do not plan ahead when driving (what junction are they leaving the road at?? yes, the one they are about to pass and still aim for anyway at the last minute) and often their car is in poor condition (poor brakes, suspension etc). Put one of these drivers in charge of a bus/lorry and you have a disaster waiting to happen.
Arabs - a number of them (not all) are arrogant drivers - I am sure there is logic somewhere that states it is their country and the rest of the visitors just get in their way. Explains why they do not feel the need to queue to turn left at traffic lights and like to cut in whenever possible. The majority of those drivers that flash you to get out of the way - nationality? Again, you are a visitor holding them up.
I do not get out of their way, no matter how close they get to me, unless it is safe for me to do so - ie, I am passed who I was passing and there is space for me to get into without having to change my speed.
I am back in the UK in a few weeks and am looking forward to a bit of normal driving. You do have to change here, and in some ways a change for the worse. I am definitely a more assertive/aggressive driver here; if you don't change, you'll get nowhere in the traffic here.

That's just the way it is.
Imagine what it was like thirty years ago when nobody had even heard fo seatbelts!!!
Can't resist stirring:
possible candidates for other topics-
a. Why do women nag all the time?
b. Why do Chinese people squint like that?
c. Why do (insert minority group here) do that?
