Default Who says crime doesn't pay?

Blimey.......... so you help Americans evade tax, and get jailed for it.......

... then you tell the taxman how you did it, and who is involved, and you get rewarded for it...... to the tune of USD 104 million.............

A tiny slice of the pie they got for him to rat out his chums.

And it sends a signal to other rats (and there are plenty of them in the industry) that they can 'do the right thing' and make a few bob to set them up for life.

I don't even want to begin to evaluate the morality of this...it will probably work wonderfully though.

Surprised the American Gov. didn't just tell him that they can waive his very lenghty jail term in return for information. They do that (no jail time, reduced jail time or time served) all the time with major crimes.
