Yes, I would think that's certainly likely (note: no actual data and can't be arsed to search, just what I would expect). On the way down though the next biggest thing to the footie world cup is probably quite a bit smaller.

So with the standard GCC "who's got the biggest dick" mentality it's going to take the Olympics for UAE or whoever to get one up on Qatar after the WC. They aint gonna like that much. But of course if the Qatar WC turns out to be a total farce, for one reason or another and by no matter whose making, well then, face saved, no worries.
