I was hoping to sort something out as i need UK tv but i then read this :
" On Thursday, the UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), an organization that regularly bans websites within the Emirates, declared that subscribing to a UK based Virtual Private Network (VPN) is as illegal as ‘smuggled DVDs or pornography.' "
Has anyone had any issues ?

It's just a scare tactic to frighten people by the sounds of it.
Another pathetic law if it's true.

Everything in the UAE is illegal and everyone breaks the law so how does this change anything?
do you use google voice chat on your MSN account? illegal
do you drink without a license? illegal
do you use skype? illegal
do you own any form of pornography hard copy or electronic? illegal
do you have sex outside marriage? illegal
must i go on? They cant stop VPN's. Hail the VPN's! i guess its a 4 year sentence for using one too eh? (just like cold&flu tabs from home)
