So true so very true...
Happens in lots of businesses...people seem to think others can work for free. Like they are they only people in the world with bills, mortgages and children to feed!

Never a truer word spoken in jest eh??
I know some really 'respectable' clients from big families who make Dick Turpin seem amatuer

Re: The Vendor Client relationship
Just recently, I just turned down a contract to write a 120 to 150 page technical report on sustainable minerals industry for a London-based international organisation, who typically charge clients US $3,000 for copies of similar reports. They usually sell about 250 of these reports worldwide (judging by previous sales), thus making them about US $750,000.
They wanted me to write (about 4 weeks work) the report for US $4,000...I told them where to go !

Not an agent...just a phone call out of the blue ! Though, it has put me off writing for publications companies. Will stick to what I know best mining, oil and gas etc.

oi my phrasing isnt a random use of passionate expletives....well not completely. I am merely ensuring the continued use of words with an interesting etymology
