Also I find it very surprising that people haven't got anything better to do than try and spoil someones fun by reporting this thread.
I mean how else do we tell people who are interested in this kind of thing about these types of events.
I thought that's what forums were for? It certainly is the case with lots of other forums and I for one do not see the harm in it.

No Sue, I can assure you that I do not own or manage the said club. I work for a recruitment company. I am however DJ'ing at the night and would like to ivite as many people down as possible to make the party a success.
You may note it is free entry anyway.
Also I find it very surprising that people haven't got anything better to do than try and spoil someones fun by reporting this thread.

In all truthfulness it did look like an ad, hence the reason a few members reported it. As it appears you are a seasoned discussion forum user you will not doubt be familiar with people who try and use forums for free promotion of their products etc (spam) and our members do not like such people using BE in this manner, so they do the mods a favour when they report suspect posts. At the end of the day we don't want the boards flooded with such stuff. Anyway we normally remove such posts but from reading yours I did gather that you were trying to inform members of a social gathering in your neck of the woods, hence my post to clarify.
