Tour De France
Well its that time of the year again when the real men come out in force, the start of the Le Tour De France!
3497km of blood. sweat, tears, agony & ecstacy, this even has it all!
Forget about the drug taking, the non drug taking the slurs and the slander, it happens in every sport. The majority of these guys play by the rules and are superhuman,
Team Sky have assembled a British team with our most reallistic chance ever of winning Le Tour, Bradley Wiggins supported by The Manx Missile and the rest of the team are really going for it.
What price a Wiggins TDF win and Cavendish to win the Olympic road race?
William Hills here I come! Go Wiggo!

Re: Tour De France
Karlos,
Any idea which TV channel in Dubai will be showing the TdF with English commentary?
I love the TdF, saw it go through our village in the Alps 3 years ago....awesome!
Thanks

This bar you keep mentioning - is it a full on Pat Butcher one in the corner of the Saheel villa complete with mirrored wall and optics?

I hear they are introducing a new jersey, the maillot bleu, or the Rangers jersey. It's to be awarded to the cyclist who best avoids tacks...

Re: Tour De France
So we confident he Wiggins can go on and win it? Would be fantastic to see him do so, as mentioned earlier in the thread Sky have put together a cracking team and Froome has really stepped up a level or two this tour. A potential winner himself in the next few years potentially. Would also be good to see Cavendish get a fourth consecutive win in Paris on Sunday.
Really disappointing news about Frank Schleck failing a doping test, I’ve always been fan of both he and his brother, apparently not a performance enhancing drug but still casts another dark shadow over the Tour. An Andy Schleck/Cadel Evans/Wiggo battle for yellow would have been even more intriguing, as in my opinion and not wishing to take anything away from Wiggins, it is a relatively weak field this tour, or perhaps just a sign the drug cheats have being weeded out?
