Re: Snap Election 8 June!
I've never understood all the furore surrounding the bus and the £350mil. The phrase 'let's fund our NHS instead' is purely suggestive highlighting the good that can be done with redistributing EU contributions to other more deserving causes. I can't imagine many people were naive enough to think every penny in savings would go to the NHS? (Despite Remainers constantly bleating that people were misled by this statement...)
Back on the topic of the snap election, the Tories seem like the only viable option to vote for by having a united party. Labour still suffers from multiple issues including infighting amongst hardcore Corbynites/Momentum and progressive Blairite types, constant anti-Semitic scandals and a leader who 'might be a nice bloke' but lacks the charisma and conviction of a statesman. A man who has been on the sidelines for decades in a comfortable Labour seat attending rallies and protests but never leading. Only person worse for the job would be to elect Diane Abbott (lol)
Lib Dems, still a poor reputation from their coalition government with the Tories. United on one topic (Brexit) but lack any other notable policies or strengths.
UKIP, since Farage leaving, left a leadership black hole with Paul Nuttall performing miserably. With Brexit on the way and May taking on a tough stance in negotiations, many UKIP voters (who traditionally would be Tory Eurosceptics) will go back to voting Blue.

Even if you take the more accurate figure of around £175 million per week, that's still something the NHS would greatly appreciate. Don't fall into the trap of attacking the messenger rather than the real meaning of the message.

Is the figure of £350m per week actually true, regardless of where it is pledged to?

Brexit will not save us any money. It will cost us money. The harder it is, the most it will cost.
Will believe otherwise when the money shows up, that is not just being syphoned off of more national debt used to pay for brexit itself.

Ok then, pick a date in your diary when you’ve got something really important on. Instead, I’ll invite you to an all-expenses-paid day out for you and your wife/partner/gf on my yacht, let’s crack open my 1966 vintage port, I’ll stump up for Rihanna to sing for us, and let’s have a rollicking good time. (Actually it’s a rowing boat on the canal in Stoke, my home brew and a tone-deaf, balding crooner reject from the X Factor. But let’s not allow my lies to get in the way of things.)

If you both promise that you didn't believe it - that's fine - but many, many people did and accepted it as fact. Denying that is just downright stupid....which then makes the ability to be truthful in your original promise extremely suspect.

Why it's so hard to accept is beyond me.
