Noticed that there appears to be a shortage of Diet Coke cans post excise duty. Anything else not in stock?

We had a Diet Coke shortage in Qatar for about two months after the embargo but it's back to normal now. I was told it was due to the original suppliers being in Saudi/UAE and it took a while for a new supplier to step forward.

In the UAE case who knows why.

Diet Coke is surely from the same producers as regular coke?

Actually, I take that back. There was no shortage of regular coke during the great Qatari Diet Coke famine of 2017.

Imagine if there was a shortage of cigarettes! Now that would be an amazing sight to see 😉 watching all the Arabs being told there’s no more cigarettes left in the country.... what would happen?
