Brown sauce, interesting. I normally go for salad cream with corned beef. Not sure why, think it's because Dad would....never eat salad cream with anything else.

My husband has it with brown/fruity sauce.
I don't mind corned beef but it has to be really cold and in really thin slices (my nan and grandad used to make deep fried corned beef fritters, all warm and mushy, urghh!) The sandwiches have to be on cheap white sliced bread with a bit of mayonnaise.

Not really a corned beef fan....

Comedies. I started to think about my top 10 but there are too many. I think to do this any justice I would need to split it down into genres or at least into Pre 60's, 60-90, 90 onwards.....

All this talk of U.K. food got me thinking about Toast Toppers. Tiny little tins of what appears to be baby food which you apply to the toast and then re grill. Quite horrible but def a blast from my childhood.

Btw. I quite like Fray bentos pies lol

Loved Toast Toppers, but they were discontinued by Heinz in 2015.

Typing on your mobile, eh?

It automatically corrects UK to U.K. on mine, even though it doesn't do it for USA.

I don't have many fond memories of old childhood processed food. My mum was a GP and never allowed us to eat them, not even candy. If I remember food at all, it's lots of vegs. Steamed vegs.

Fray bentos pies are not worthy of the aluminum tin they are packed in.

Blackjacks and Fruit Salads. Amazing things.

Very 70s, they were pretty vile in hindsight, but gordon blue cooking at the time.

They were never in Aluminium trays, always proper tin plated steel.

Black jacks yes, proper Bassets midget gems too.

Sherry trifle. Although I'm still not convinced that the stuff my mum made and allowed me to eat when I was pre-teens had real sherry in it.
