RIP Jimmy Saville

Re: RIP Jimmy Saville
Bit of a kleptomaniac too. The least of his problems, really. He raised an astonishing amount for charity but he was very screwed up.
I wonder if the red tops will give it a few weeks then go for it. I'm amazed he managed to keep his nose clean for so long. We were repeatedly reminded that he had very powerful friends and several people we spoke to mentioned death threats. The channel 4 lawyers were especially eager not to upset him.
And he was super, super smart. Sharp, shrewd, quite calculating. Not a lot of people knew that and treated him like an affable stupid eccentric.

I'm keeping my rose tinted glasses firmly on.
There is a reason I would never even consider going into the public eye even though we all know I would make a fabulous queen of the world- far too much stuff on me to paint me in a far than pleasant manner- and I am lovely really- we all do regretable stuff, not saying whatever he has done is right (as I'm not sure what meow is refering to) but we all have skeletons.
I still think he was fab

It's interesting isn't it? Because there appears to be a darker side to him, now he's dead, it will probably float to the surface...
Who on here though, doesn't have something they would rather keep quiet?
I'm certain that when Ian Botham karks it, all the bottom feeders' will say that he was a shit, and ignore what he has done with his Hannibal walks for charity.
Isn't a maaarvelous world when we have to wait for someone to die before we give them a swift kicking?

He knew Michael Caine?
I take it you're talking about Haut de la Garenne and his touching up of a 14 year old child (Coleen Nolan) on Top Of The Pops...

Not that incident, but there are masses of stories floating around about him and have been for years. I also know witnesses to various incidents.

Anyway, gonna leave this thread now, before I get sued by the estate of the late, great Sir Jimmy Saville

Not possible--actions for defamation die with the defamed! That, I believe, is where the expression "Don't speak ill of the dead" came from: there's no comeback. So come on, then, spill the beans...

Sounds like a very devious man. What amazes me is why this story has taken so long to surface. I just wish he was alive to face the consequences of his actions.
