Queen & Maroon 5
Both bands are supposedly coming to Dubai in Nov/Dec this year but AED400 to see Queen seems rather steep given their old age. Mind you, Paul Rodgers singing with them will be a helluva privilege to watch.

400AED or not, it will be a sell out, Paul Rodgers is no Freddy Mercury but what a voice, do you know where they are supposed to be playing?

Does anyone know the date Queen/Paul Rogers are playing? I have to go back to the UK for a week in November, but fancy seeing them together.
Thanks

Being only 10 years old when Freddy Mercury died, I am not really qualified to talk on the subject, but goodness me those guys are getting old. Brian May is 61 and Paul Rodgers 58, so being the last of over 20 dates on a mainly European tour, will they have the energy to perform to the best of their abilities when they finally reach here? Incidentally, my hubby was a great fan in his younger days and cannot understand why Brian May is only ranked 39th in the Best Guitarists of All Time catagory by Rolling Stone magazine.

I saw Queen play live in 1982 ( Elland Road ) and still remember the event ever so well. Was round at a mate the other day and he was watching the dvd of Queen with Paul Rodgers live in concert and they put on quite a show, very good indeed.
Freddie was such an entertainer and a voice that was quite extraordinary.

I think Queen would still be entertaining live, but really it was the showmanship of Freddie that made it a spectacle.
Maroon 5...how Dubai. But it will be a sell out for sure.
Is it a new venue?
