Default Prudent Use Of Police Resources

If you already feel aggrieved about the waste of public spending in the UK...and I'm not referring to free NHS medical treatment for the torturer employed by Robert Mugabe...then have a butchers at this ridiculous story.

Something doesn't quite add up. If he'd gone to apologise, or stayed in the pub garden, why would a helicopter even be useful? Why would the police officers need to ask the helicopter for help?

If he didn't do either, and instead he legged it, I have rather less sympathy...

I'm surprised they didn't bother to call in a SWAT team as well just to be sure

Why shouldn't he 'leg it'? I always did.............

I'm not so much worried about a waste of police resources, as I am about the possibility that he will have a police record.............
