It wasn't really frightening at all, otherwise I would have packed my bags and left again. Just a mild culture shock I guess. Personally? From the UK as a country I had expected a slightly more "foreigner friendly" attitude, but that turned out to be an grand illusion from my side. No insult what so ever intended okay?

I was born in the lower end suburbs of Miami Eva, worked my way through school and left the USA at the first chance I got. My dream? Never go back. As for my UK experiences? They are based on 22 months of traveling and working for BP in your country. Once is nice, twice is okay, but after several weeks of "He's a bloody Yank" or the less polite versions thereof everyone reaches his or her boiling point. So the last time it happened? I just turned around and politely asked "Does your UK nationality entitle you to be a f**king racist?" It would really have to be a six digit salary getting me back to the UK. One that starts with a 3 or 4....
