There are a few venues. One in the Marina (Sheraton I think) and one at the Haufbrau at the JW Marriott hotel in Deira.
Latter is indoors and v. v. v. smokey if that's your thing. Good German vibe. Marina is outdoors but less of a German vibe.
Both popular. Book in advance.

Is it the polka band? Or the pork on offer?
The ones I went to were pretty decent. Go with a group of friends. Take over a table. Dress up for it. Sheraton brings in a band from Germany for their Oktoberfest.
It's good value given the amount of beer you can drink, and not to mention all the pork to make one happy

Octoberfests over here can be wicked. Irish Village is always good - tokens are annoying though.
Heard Barasti have one but no idea if any good or shit or just usual Barasti.

I keep meaning to go to one here but other things always seem to crop up.
Went to one in Bremen in the early 90s, bloody brilliant it was.
