I like challenges but do give in when others have been shown to have invented or discovered 'stuff'.
Well, possibly only deep-fried Mars bars and perhaps deep-fried pizza slices - yuk! But someone else invented deep-fried Englishmen - boiled in oil by their enemies in the dark ages.

And those disgusting deep fried scotch pies - bawk!
As for deep fried englishmen don't get me started. Just because that hugely inaccurate film Braveheart gave you boys some national pride don't let it go to you head!
Abu Andy - the belgians may have invented french fries but I would have thought people cooked in such a manor before then? I can let the Belgians have Stella tho!

Haha...'twas in the Middle East not Scotland. Braveheart was accurate battlewise: Scotland 1 (Stirling Bridge) versus England 1 (Falkirk). The romantic interludes were historically inaccurate though! The English princess was about 3 yrs old at the time...but Wallace was an educated man and did speak early Scots, French and Latin.

Why are Norway so crap?
Players like John Carew, John Arne Riise, Steffen Iversen and Brede Hangeland are class acts - but they haven't won a match yet in their group, and haven't even scored for four matches, and it's a group that includes Macedonia and Iceland...........

By the way, none of the WC 2010 qualifiers appealed, so I found an absolute cracker - Russia v Argentina on Al Jaz Sports 1..........
It may 'only' be a friendly, but it's a cracker. Russ 2 Arg 3, into added time.
