I'm Lyds and I'm over with my husband and daughter (who's 1)... currently disgusted by the superficiality and greed that's here, but trying to get over it and concentrate on getting a nice tan by the pool... oh, wait...
I'm no longer level 1, 'cos I now know to expect the unexpected, but maybe 2 weeks late.

Hello all, I'm coming to AD on the 10th or so but moving out to Ruwais on 13th for a week or two - that place really is in the middle of nowhere. Need to get beers in, anyone interested?
I will be making a few trips through AD over the next two years now this project is go! I hope I can make some regular contact with like minded peeps who can show me there is something to do other than shopping and eating.

And, no, I'm not a what I'd call a "girly girl" - I have no particular interest in manicures, shopping til I drop (more like shop until I bite someone's arm off cos they're walking too slowly - legs just wouldn't be productive)... or indeed getting a tan. I do like shoes though... and sparkly things. Hmmm, and the occasional tipple.

I'm David, originally from Chester-le-Street, been here a few years now, live on the Corniche in Ajman work in Sharjah. Well I say work, but really it's a hobby that pays my bar bills buying/selling exporting cars and car parts.
