Any of you lovely bunch played Netball?

I'm playing tonight. Not through a great deal of choice but it's going to please the mrs.

Asked to play GK so I do less running around.

Any tips?

I was allways goal keeper as I was tall (i grew early by 5th form I was average height but as an 11 year old I had a distinct advantage)and had shit hand eye coordination so was rubbish at scoring goals so was always put there. I vaguely remember jumping up and down and waving my arms frantically to try and defend the goal- I also remember playing for quite a good team so used to stand in my little half circle and chat alot- may have even done my nails once- god i hated school sports!

and you can bounce the ball once- good technique for getting the ball away. Netball really is shit!

YOU can bounce the ball once so when YOU are passing. Obviously someone else can bounce it to you.

Also, this is some slight retribution for spending two nights on the bounce at the Marines Club in the Seaview I think.
