The Gulf state of Qatar breathed a sigh of relief tonight as British security staff intercepted a jar of deadly Marmite at London Heathrow Airport.
Armed only with a pair of thin plastic gloves a member of the crack Dangerous Yeast Extract Squad removed a small jar of Marmite from a passenger intent on eating toast and marmite in the gas rich state of Qatar.
Having discovered the new and highly unstable version of Marmite known as Squeezy the fearless security operative carried it carefully to a specially designed rubbish bin just behind the X ray machine at the security check point.
"When we discover anything that may threaten the safety of a flight we like to make sure that it is placed inside a 4mm thick plastic bin to ensure that there is no further danger to the public" said Richard Head, chief of the dangerous foodstuffs squad at Heathrow.

The hundred pounds tax that one pays to travel business class through London Heathrow seems good value when one knows that the threat from yeast extract is eliminated in the departure area.

Police said that a member of the Heathrow security staff is helping them with their Marmite soldiers.
