Lots. But you'll justify it in many, many ways.

This. Full fat milk classes as a low fat food by most definitions.

Semi skimmed or fully skimmed milk is literally milk with the goodness taken out. Pointless and disgusting, no wonder people lap it up in the name of healthy.

Frozen pork at West Zone is 15 or so per kilo, or 5 fat and bone free steaks are around the same. I don't think that's expensive at all, sausages are OK for economy style ones, they're 8Dhs for 12.

You can also buy whole suckling pigs there for 150 or so, but i don't have a bbq/rotisserie to cook it or I'd have a go.

If you will buy pork at waitrose of spinneys/park n rob, what do you expect?

That's pretty cheap, is it nice?

I compromise sometimes and end up disappointed - streaky bacon, weird bacon, not proper back bacon etc.

Eventually Choithrams or Spinneys or Waitrose have some that can be frozen and is reduced and I stock up

Otherwise I just pay for it. Nice bacon, sausage and black pudding on a Saturday morning can't be beaten and is worth the money.

The chopped up pork is ideal for stews and stuff, the steaks are tasty, not tried the bacon, they only have the stuff that's shrink wrapped and that's too wet for me - although streaky in a carbonara sauce is spot on.

I can't disagree on the Saturday morning fry up mind you.

Might be worth a go, there's a West Zone near me. I walked by last night on my way back from the metro.

I need to get the slow cooker out and do some sort of pork dish.

You own a slow cooker? You are middle aged!
