We are moving to dubai in a month. we have a good house in emirates hills (7 beds) but its totally empty. My mrs is coming out in a week to do some shopping but not sure where to start especially on curtains and furniture.

Anyone got a good interior decorator/curtain person?

suggestions on where to get modern and elegant furniture.

have a pretty healthy budget to decorate the house (AED 750k) and would love any suggestions.

most furniture shops nowadays have their own 'interior designers'...
one that I have used for various things in the past is Selva, they can do everything from furniture to wall paper, curtains etc.
www.selva.com, they have a large showroom on SZR.

(still think this is a bit of a troll but hey ho there you go)

If you want 'tasteful' look at Marina store and Crate & Barrel. Both have shops at the Mall of Emirates. If you want tacky, the rest of the stores in Dubai are glad to sell you wildly overpriced plush furniture.

and contrary to what Ethos says, a lot of the 'big' names have agents or stores here in Dubai, so if you have money to spend you really don't need to go the 'tacky' road...
