Re: Lionheart's Autopsy......
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
(Mata inquired after him on Quiz thread)

Re: Lionheart's Autopsy......
..... then Richard Curtis hijacked it for John Hannah to read out in FWAAF.
Now it really irritates me.

Just for you, Mr Dean, one of his, errr, earthier moments. No jelqing, now...
i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh . . . . And eyes big love-crumbs,
and possibly i like the thrill
of under me you so quite new

A case of familiarity breeding contempt? But I agree with FWAAF's assertion that Cummings was a "splendid bugger...." - and theres plenty of work in his canon that's unsullied by popular recognition....

Re: Lionheart's Autopsy......
Somebody obviously hasn't been reading today's posts as carefully as they should, but thanks for the concern...everything went very well, at least until this afternoon when my zipper inexplicably broke at work

Has the swelling subsided now or are you still straining your flies?
