Sadly, you are probably correct.

I have heard countries like nearby Niger are popular for such 'hunting' expeditions - machine guns mounted on the back of pick-up trucks.

So much of the world being enclosed into 'resorts'.


On the Dubai article - I have yet to see a properly balanced, non-generalised article on the place - Journalists are pretty low down my list, even though they seem to rate themselves highly.

It certainly does not reflect 'my' Dubai, when I lived there. There are many stories in a city, but lazy expense accounted journalists just trot out the same old stuff, written long before they even arrived.

what is their aim? to make out the place is a shit hole? yet half of Britain want to visit the place and waste their hard earned dosh here. Half of what was written could apply to any major city in the world.
