Default John Lewis

John Lewis, a British department store retailer, is set to become the newest player in the UAE's department store market with an agreement with Al-Futtaim to open a retail section in Dubai Festival City in spring 2017.

Never knowingly undersold

Wasn't that first announced last year? I heard it was to be home wares only, not clothes.

It may have been, this is the first time I've seen it mentioned though.

You just don't hang around mummy forums enough Milly!

JL has always sold clothes, both from other brands and their own range. You can order from the UK website for delivery to the UAE for GBP 10 too which is likely to be cheaper than on their store here!

International delivery - landing page

House of Fraser are the same (well delivery is 20 GBP instead of 10 GBP). They have a part sale on at the moment, I picked up a nice Paul Smith suit for 220 GBP a bargain!

Ordered on a Friday morning, arrived here on the Wednesday aswell!

I tend to use Next... free delivery, prices are less than the UK in store as they take the VAT off.

Well you are right really... it's one of the few places where I can get clothes that fit properly. Sadly I end up dressed like a Freeman's catalog model most of the time.

John Lewis is Tyrells right? I used to always get school shoes from Tyrells when I was younger.

I love John Lewis.

John Lewis in UKI is co-owned by the people who work there. I cannot imagine that revolutionary concept being applied to the retail wage-slaves in the UAE.
