Iftar meetups

Re: Iftar meetups
Potatoes potatoes honestly
There are some words which were invented in that particular language and were then integrated in another language so the person speaking it should either transition to one side completely or the other in my opinion. Case in point :
The word Pizza. No matter where you go, its always pronounced Pitza as it should be. And yet in Pakistan, usually it is called pizzza, i.e no 't' in the middle and that bothers me to no end. And the same baboons will then turn around and say, oh the correct pronunciation is RamaDan not Ramzan because its an Arabic word
Urdu is a very very new language, not even 500 years old I think. And technically it is the love child of an orgy between Arabic, Farsi (Persian), English and Hindi so anyone claiming a certain word for Urdu dont really know their history.
While on the topic, in Urdu its called 'Sehri' - again derived from the Arabic word 'Suhur' which has a literal meaning of Sun Rise but in this month's case Sehri / Suhur / Suhoor / Sahar are all the same words with the meaning of the Meal eaten Before Sunrise

I used to enjoy my Indian colleague practice:
"Vuh....Vuh....Vee....Vee..............Wisit Wisa."
