Got my date...
3rd May I'm coming back to the Sand Pit. I will be coming to Dubai for a few days to start with.

Flights are now booked. Actually flying into DXB on the 2nd May now on the morning flight from Manchester.
I asked if I could pay for a business class upgrade myself and got told it would cost me £2k.
Oh well, cattle class it is...at least it's a daytime flight. Will have to get some good noise-cancelling headphones and hope I can get an emergency exit/bulkhead seat.

I looked up flights myself and found Qantas Premium Economy out of LHR for about 700 quid. Is PE worth the extra? Are Qantas good? Dustin Hoffman likes them...

They do code share, but they also have their own flights.
No Premium Economy on any of Emirates fleet, not even the A380.
