Good cheap no frills gym in AD
Can anyone recommend a good no frills gym in Abu Dhabi. I'm not really interested in swimming pools, fancy restauarants, saunas, health classes, massages, fountains, nail painting, cross stitch, changing room reach arounds etc...
So does anyone know of a gym that mainly has weights and resistance stuff, preferably with lots of leg machines, squat racks etc so i can get fit for the coming season. Not really bothered about CV machines accept for warm up and would prefer to pay each time i go or monthly as i wont use it after the season starts again. Also want it to be cheap as chips in a UK council gym style!

Hijacking your thread sorry,
Can anyone recommend a yoga or pilates class in Dubai?
Also, wheres a good size training pool for proper swimming not just dipping in and out of- min 25 meter? And are pools mixed or would I have to look for a womens only time slot?

I'm not sure this is what he is after... these are 100-125Dh a day and are 'nice'.
Why not try the one on airport road - 'muscle builder' or something. doesn't look expensive or fancy to me, and mainly has weights (I look in as I wait in traffic). It's near the Gun thingy on the right hand side of the road as you look from the corniche up the road...

As for a pool, wait until you've moved here because most of the apartment blocks have good sized pools here.

You do need to be Lebanese of course, and drive a Nissan Skyline.
