Default Fifa then..?

The FIFA press conference last night was some of the best car crash TV I've seen in a while - looks like there is more to come...

Hopefully FIFA will implode but they'll probably just carry on regardless . Bin Hammam has stepped aside to save his country from 2022 oblivion , a deals been done and Sepp will get back into the drivers seat and the FIFA bus will hit the road again .

unfortunately i think you're right. the whole thing smells of horsetrading. i think someone needs to be the first to pull out for the situation to change. right now blatter is sitting in his office pleased with himself that yet again he has managed to manipulate the situation to his advantage...

the whole process they were describing in the press conference was a farce. "sepp told me that he was asked his opinion about some potential payments going to be made and he advised that it was against the ethics code"..so basically the committee then just took his word for it. what a joke!

This could run and run.... is Qatar 2022 safe?

Suspended Fifa vice-president Jack Warner has made public an e-mail that claims Mohamed Bin Hammam "bought" the 2022 World Cup finals for Qatar.

The e-mail, seemingly from Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke, also questions why Asian confederation chief Bin Hammam was running for Fifa president.

Valcke wrote: "[Hammam] thought you can buy Fifa as they bought the World Cup".

Australia wants their investment repaid as they were never going to win they claim...

2022 is far from safe . Qatar has delayed the announcement of there new 5 year budget , the budget is rumoured to be the biggest in Qatar's history . There's not been a single World Cup related contract awarded since the award in December. Believe me they've got time to pull the plug and it will not cost Qatar anything as they've never built anything.

Construction and development here Doha is on lockdown with only tenders coming out in dribs and drabs . There's not a man alive who lives in this region that doesn't believe that this award wasn't financially procured. If they lose it Qatar will sink into a bigger shithole than it already is.

I wish they would hurry up though as i'm wondering whether to renew my Golf Club membership !

Round two was even better than last night - Blatter's press conference this evening was probably the most arrogant performance I have ever witnessed - time for him to go!

I've always thought Blatter was a right t.wat and still do. Him and even more so Platini are so far up their own R's, they are a total waste of space, a right pair of clowns. They resemble a typical politician - only in it for their own advancement. Tell them both to f.uck off.
