RIP Seve - one of only a small handful of sporting superstars that I can happily say it was nothing less than a privilege to watch.

The fact that he is gone, and he is the same age as me, is rather sobering.

What?? It's on every TV channel, and they are quoting a 'family statement'. Even Wikipedia has him shown as dead.

Wow it appears there was some confusion, up until 1/2hr ago the link NB posted stated he was gravely ill but that his family said he continued to fight. That same link now reports his death.... All a bit irrelevant now anyway....

It a sad loss, he was an amazingly naturally gifted talent, a true legend of the game and a great ambassador for sport in general. Such a shame that he died so young....
