Default Eid Randomness

"In the UAE, government departments, schools and universities will enjoy a holiday for a whole week, starting from November 5."

"The public sector will get a four-day holiday to mark Eid Al Adha, it was announced on Sunday.
According to a circular issued by Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority of Human Resources, federal bodies and ministries will remain closed from Saturday, November 5, to Tuesday, November 8."

I love consistency! Still no confirmation on Eid for the private sector here mind...

I picked up my Tunisian neighbours' kid today from school along with my son.

My son gets in the car and says "what're we having for lunch?" like he does most days.

Tunisian 8 year old girl pipes up, "I know what we're having. Lamb. We killed one yesterday."

They might have gone up into the hills and mountains and killed a lamb. I'm pretty sure it's not allowed.
Anyway, when I dropped her off, sure enough her daddy was bbq-ing lamb under the porch. Not a whole one.
