I shall be heading off to Barcelona in a few weeks, and am flying Emirates direct. Looking at taking my SUV through, rather than the faffing around with taxis etc, and wondered if there was a Airport Parking service other than DXB Airport itself, who dont seem to realise that there should be a price difference between Long Term and Short Term parking rates...

240 AED a day seems, to me, quite steep..!!!

Assuming your location is correct. How much to upgrade to business? You would get collected and delivered back to Abu Dhabi in a nice Volvo estate..

You can also get a free shuttle bus up to Dubai airport with Emirates, and get a taxi back or even the shuttle bus back.

You will have more running about if you take your own car and try and park somewhere away from airport.

I never drive if I fly out of Dubai and use combination of above depending on times

There's a big sandy parking lot by the Holiday Inn Express and Premier Inn, opposite T3, that's free parking.

For a reasonable fee, you can park in one of my spaces in business bay. For a less reasonable fee, i'll take you to the airport.

Loadsa places not too far away (Mirdif, Al Waqua etc) where you could dump your car and jump in a taxi.

Theres a car park (covered) very close to AlGhubaiba Metro station which charges 400 AED a month. Thats the cheapest one around. I see plenty of dust-ridden cars there all the time. People who have dumped their cars there for the summers/ramzan and just went away by using the Metro from there direct into the airport.
I think in all my time here, I have been to the airport only once in my own car and that was also to meet the great Mikewot.
Even when I have to give anyone the honor of me picking them up, I just use the metro to pick them up and then hand them a grey card and let them travel in the back with the rif raf.

Taxis are two to a dozen...where do you live? I always take a taxi to the airport....less hassle, convenient and only costs around AED 80 each way (from JLT)
