Dubai Tennis....A Mickey Mouse tournament
Well, I was really looking forward to the tennis this week, bought tickets and all....and what happens ?
Federer, Nadal and Verdasco pull out with injury, defending champion Roddick withdraws (this was kept secret by the organisers !) in protest over the Israeli woman who was denied a visa, and now Murray has pulled out today with a cold virus !
The tournament pretends to be one of the biggest outside the Grand Slams, but clearly that is not the case in the eyes of the players, and is frankly a mickey mouse tournament in all reality !
I suppose it wont be long before Durex sponsor the tournament in the hope it prevents future 'pull-outs' !

As I said on that other thread, Dubai will feel the Pe'er Backlash for a long time to come...........

I don't think there will be any kind of backlash. Majority of sports people go where the money is.
