Do women really like football?

Do women really like football?
Just keeping in line with the World Cup Fever. Do any women really like football or do they just say they do to get in with the boys?
For me a BIG advantage of being single is not having to watch football, rugby, cricket, golf, darts, curling or whatever sport the beau of the moment is into. Having had a father whos finger is stapled to Sky sports buttons and an x who was sport mad I actually enjoy not having to watch any of it- other than a bit of tennis which I actually like! Don't get me wrong if I'm in a pub watching a GOOD game I can get into the team spirit, and will happily watch men running around in little shorts under the pretense of taking an interest in what they are doing but I am generally just perving, but really I don't care. If its a crap game I have no urge to keep watching. And my god the commentators are in need of a good slap, do they really need to discuss every little detail? I don't buy the whole girls who are into it as I know they would rather be having a gossip with their mates, especially if they don't usually watch it and just get into the world cup spirit.
Perhaps there are some women on here that do care- I mean really care to the extent that men do- anyone? and does any man actually believe women get it?
And wheres the best pub to go to to watch hot men watching football?

to add balance to this thread... I hate football, in fact watching any sport (with the exception of women's tennis) on telly is the most dull thing on this Earth.

That's an easy one, no.
Well I'll be watching a fair bit of it in Nezasaussi, so probably not there.

There is a good chance of a Spain-Brazil second round match (the two best teams in the world on current rankings) - surely that will appeal?

Re: Do women really like football?
The only reason I have ever pretended to like football was (in the pre-kids days) when we went to the pub for the day to watch the footie.... drinks thrown my way just to keep me quiet whilst other half watched the football... if I ran out of drinks/nibbles just used to ask a few inane questions re the offside rule in order to be replenished with drinks/nibbles.
Short answer to OP's question, NO!

Well yes - but there are thousands of men who, year in, year out, only take a passing interest in football, but they really get into the World Cup every four years. It's a special event. The Olympics has much the same effect on people who are only casually interested in athletics, swimming, or whatever........ go on, get into the spirit.

Re: Do women really like football?
A more pertinent question may be whether women take the same interest in sex as men do.....
Us guys will howl in protest when a chap fakes a foul, yet swagger when a woman fakes an orgasm....

What is the difference between a pub and a clitoris?.......Most men know how to find a pub!
